Little KnittedHats

Well so far this year I've got about 50 hats done. I think this is close to my lot this year as I'm ill. I have a bad case of vertigo which is very weird a cross between feeling like you're falling and swimming underwater. Anyway I had some bunny Pom Poms left over from Easter so I used some of them to make these little fellas.

There was no Big Knit in 2016 because there is an extra special one this year it is hoped to collect 300,000 hats to help AgeAction the deadline is extended to 31st July 2017.
Since starting to write this post I made one little hat, still waiting on its bobble so I've started at last.
The one above is from my work's drive way back in 2011. I'm temporarily out of work on long term sick leave so I'll do my best to continue on my own with a few of my friends.
So far I've only made about 20 I keep getting diverted by other charities but from now on will focus only on these just to see how many I can make. So I've set myself the challenge it's 31st May now gives me 2 months so here we go.
Don't forget to check out my ravely group my Irish Big Knit.
Here I go now now
Best of luck and get knitting.
Love

Hi Guys the Big Knit will be getting started shortly in Ireland. Last year I could not participate due to illness still sick with fibromyalgia and ostro arthritis in my hand and last of all but not least I need a knee replacement. "If I was a horse they'd shoot me" lol. This is an old Irish saying about someone who is constantly sick.
Anyway to return to the topic at handI will be knitting or crocheting some this year, pictures to follow, shortly.

Little woolly hats
We had a get together at work to get the word out about these hats and the good work that they do.
Thanks to all who took part. Here are the photoes:-
In total my colleagues and myself made a whopping 1537 hats. It was just great to drop them off the the Innocent Head Office.
I think that I'll be having little woolly hat withdrawal. Don't forgot they are for sale in all the shops that stock Innocent Drinks so pop in and buy yours today.

A picture of my desk at work, with my Maneki Neko, this is a Japanese Lucky Cat.
He is weaving in good fortune for our big day.
Maneki Neko with all the hats that I made this year.
My two helpers Aideen and Kevina, Kevina made 400 hats this year
An unbelievable contribution.
Me and Aideen sitting at our stall waiting for people to arrive.
I was desperately hoping they would.
This hat was made by a lady who had not knit for over 40 years. I think its just great.
At least some 'customers' gathered to make hats for us.
Maneki Neko you are doing a great job bringing us good luck for the day.
The hats started to gather and Innocent came in with some Smoothies for us to give away
I hate making pom poms and bobbles for the hats. My two friends volunteered to make them.
Thanks so much girls. They are perfect and well received.
Grainne form work who over the past year has just learned to knit and has made over 600 hats. Amazing.
This project really brings out the best in everyone.
Another of my favourite hats. I love the combination of bobble and flower.
A big thank you for all the lovely people at Innocent.
Maneki Neko you did a fantastic job.

25c to Age Action Charity for every behatted Smoothie bought.
Hello from me
Hello
I've decided to create this blog to let you know about my obession for the past couple of months, making little knitted hats for Innocent Drinks.
It is true to say that for a couple of months a year these little hats take over my life. At work, and at home.
But basicly this blog is just a forum for me to let you know about my life.
